For the past 12-18 months, we have been evaluating the next development cycle that we will need to undertake. Our developers and I have been to school researching the right approach for the next 10-year run. Last month I attended a two-day conference at Microsoft’s Charlotte headquarters and made the decision that we would move forward with Microsoft’s Open Source language called Blazor.

It leverages everything we have done in the Microsoft stack. It is completely browser-based and vendor-agnostic meaning it Mac, Linux, Windows, we just need a modern browser. This week I have the green light and allocated the budget to design, develop, and test the first and major phase of the project, the entire reporting system of Fusion. We estimate this will take 3 – 4 months to accomplish and in my opinion, it is one of the most important parts of the project.
