Over the past few months, we have invested a monumental amount of time and money to make not only the Event Entry experience quicker but the majority of the application. This included Microsoft’s .Net upgrades, our tools by Telerik, our hosted Azure SQL Database Servers, our hosted Azure web services and of course our source code itself.

We have gone so far as to video users and watch their common cursor movements. Then, we compared those clicks against the code using expensive performance analysis tools. We compared these both locally and to our Microsoft Azure Cloud configurations.

The end result, we removed extraneous saves, updates in a variety of locations as well as adding and removing database indexes. Most importantly, the Event Entry window received the most attention where everything from the Event Billing button, the Event Save, to the Financial button has had performance tweaks. Nothing was ignored, even the Proposal drop-down had adjustments.
